MTN DEW® Code Red Sweet Beef

INGREDIENTS
\Beef
1/2 lb Thin sliced ribeye
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 green bell pepper sliced
1 red bell pepper sliced
1/2 yellow onion sliced
Code Red Thai Chili Pepper Sauce
2 cups Mountain Dew® Code Red®
5 Thai chili peppers sliced
2 tbsp corn starch mixed with 3 tbsp water
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add the Thai chili pepper sauce ingredients to a medium sauce pot and reduce to a syrup.
- When the sauce has reduced by 2/3’s, whisk in corn starch slurry. Remove from heat after the slurry is mixed in. This will thicken the sauce. The sauce will thicken as it cools.
- When sauce is getting thick, begin cooking the beef.
- Add 1tbsp beef tallow or butter to a cast iron and saute the onion and bell peppers for 2-3 minutes. Add a pinch of salt.
- Add beef and garlic to the onion and bell peppers. Cook until beef is cooked through and toss in the code red sauce.
- Serve on top of white rice and garnish with sliced Thai chili peppers and toasted sesame seeds. Enjoy!
