MTN DEW® Pancakes by Fun Foods
INGREDIENTS
\PANCAKES
2 cups buttermilk complete pancake & waffle mix
1 cup MTN DEW® Electric green food coloring
SYRUP
2 cups granulated sugar
½ cup corn syrup
2 cups MTN DEW® (divided)
INSTRUCTIONS
PANCAKES
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat, or set your electric griddle to 375°F.
- Place a teaspoon of butter or oil on the griddle/skillet. Once the butter foam subsides or the oil shimmers, that’s how you know it’s game on.
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine pancake mix and 1 cup of MTN DEW. If you feel up to it, add a few drops of electric green food coloring. It’s not necessary, but it definitely makes this more fun.
- Ladle batter for each pancake onto your griddle/skillet, making them any size you like. We don’t judge.
- Turn your pancakes over once you see bubbles rise to the surface. Catch ya on the flip side.
- Adjust heat as necessary. Cook until the second side is lightly browned.
SYRUP
- Bring sugar, corn syrup and 1 cup of MTN DEW to a boil on the stovetop.
- Stir until sugar dissolves. Turn off heat once the mixture reaches 230°F.
- Drizzle your pancakes with syrup and butter, if you’re into it.
